Dedication To my Aunty Hinemoa
Remember those walls I built
Well, baby they're tumbling down
And they didn't even put up a fight
They didn't even make up a sound
I found a way to let you in
But I never really had a doubt
Standing in the light of your halo
I got my angel now
It's like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
It's the risk that I'm takin'
I ain't never gonna shut you out
Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
Hit me like a ray of sun
Burning through my darkest night
You're the only one that I want
Think I'm addicted to your light
I swore I'd never fall again
But this don't even feel like falling
Gravity can't forget
To pull me back to the ground again
Feels like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
The risk that I'm takin'
I'm never gonna shut you out
Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
Halo, halo
Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo

Dance Fever recount
Dance fever
Hooray! This morning my classroom and I are going to our school hall for dancing lessons so that we can win at the inter schools which involves other schools from around the area that we are in.
Today we went over what we learnt last week which the hip-hop dance so that we remember and that we could move on to the next dance which was the Chacha. before we even started to learn how to do the Chacha dance we had to find a partner and then sit down so captain and Christina could explain what we were going to do with our partner and what we were going to start with. As we sat down Christina said “Look I am already having lots of fun but I want some more fun!” After that we all had to zip our mouths and fold our shoulders so captain could speak so we did. When captain finished talking Christina and captain said “We are not starting with holding each others hand we are starting our steps for our feet!” So they both showed us what to do. Once they finished showing us the action we all got told to stand up by captain. we all practiced the first set of steps ten times so that we would know how to do it like how we know how to spell our names. Afterwards our lesson was over and it was time for room seven to learn their routine.
When we finished I was so exhausted from dancing but I had fun.

The Best Day Ever!!!!
One sunny day there were three beautiful and intelligent girls. Their names are Te Awai, Te Puawai and Chanel. That day they decided to text each other to see if anyone was up to go to the movies. First Te Awai texted Te Puawai to see if she wanted to go to the movies to watch Smurfs 2 with her the text said “Hey Puawai, Are you available to come to the movies today to Smurfs 2”. Puawai replied “Hey bestie, I’m sure that i’m available to come because my whole family is resting for mahi tomorrow”. Afterwards Te Puawai texted Chanel to see if she wanted to go with her and Te Awai to the movies to watch Smurfs 2 the text said “Kia ora tuakana, Are you able to come to the movie with Te Awai and myself to watch Smurfs 2?” Chanel replied “Oh I might be able to come because everyone has gone to mahi to get some money for some kai but yeah of course I am available!”
Once they all agreed to go to the movies together they all got dressed into their day clothes and all met up at the train station in Sylvia Park. They travelled by variety of ways to get to Sylvia Park. Chanel got there by walking from Panmure via Sylvia Park, Te Puawai went to Ellerslie via Sylvia Park by catching the train and Te Awai caught a taxi to Sylvia from Glen Innes. In addition they were all there one by one arrived to the train station by different ways. After that when all of them arrived they all gave each other a hug and walked to the movies and ordered their tickets and went to the room where the video games were and played until it was time to go to the room where the movie plays.
When they got their tickets and went to the games room they all had a competition against each other on Air Hockey. First Puawai and Te Awai had a competition while Chanel played doodle jump. After we all had a game each it was time for us to go and watch the movie so we went to get us a large box of popcorn, three cups of coke and three chocolate ice creams and quickly walked to the room with the other people that were watching Smurfs 2.
During the movie they all sat right at the back so they wouldn’t get blind for sitting to close to the screen while eating their food that they have brought. After the movie they all went to the park together by walking. As they were walking home they all forgot to thank the movie hosts for welcoming them in the movies. So they all run back to thank the man for welcoming them into the movies. Afterwards they just walked to the park while taking pictures on the phone that Te Puawai had.

Persuasive Writing
Have you ever wondered how you can achieve your goal to get a good education?
In society students still haven’t got a decent education.
This has started happening and children are not working hard enough on their tasks. It will become an enormous problem if students don’t complete their jobs. Not enough children are giving themselves a chance while going to school because they’re not trying hard enough. Instead they become dropping out of school at the age of 16 or 17 years. Why I’m talking about this is because I believe that students should work hard enough to receive an excellent education, because students need to graduate, they need to concentrate and complete their work and so they can have a better life.
I believe that it is so important to learn at school and graduate.
If you are interested in your learning I presume you will work hard.
It helps me with what I really need to think about for my future.
Its also important to learn because when students get older they might get called a
successful person from an adult that cares for you.
Students must know all of the techniques and so they can start learning from the age of 4 and up. I understand that students want to get a good education. I also believe that students find that learning is an enjoyable and helpful thing so that they will be able to plan the rest of their life.
First of all you should concentrate on your own work before helping others, because if you never complete all of your work than you find yourself suffering in class. In fact believe in what you know, because if you do you’ll become brainy. Furthermore when students are stuck they should ask a teacher for help, because you’ll never know that you're improving in your learning.
Finally I believe that students should receive a quality education so that they will have good life in the future. So if they get the job they want they will receive some money to look after their family and will be able to pay their bills off.
In the future I must believe that it is so important to learn at school and graduate if you want to get a scholarship to go to a collage where you will really learn. It’s so cool that when all students graduate college you get a job. The job that you absolutely know that you will get a lot of money. To provide a house for your family you will have to stay in school right til the end. When you stay at school you will be able to buy some food for yourself and your family. Just imagine what it would be like if everyone worked hard to get an important education and if everyone got paid for working so hard.

To make the bamboo easier to weave, they soak the slats in water. As the men weave, they stretch the bamboo slats over a basket-shaped mould. In the centre, the weaving is pulled very tight to give the boat its round shape. A thung chai is built without nails. To hold the weaving together, thicker pieces of bamboo are wrapped around the rim and lashed on with strong fishing line.

Squash Recount
Hooray! On Friday Room 10 went to the hall to play a game of squash. It was as fun as going to a nightclub with your friends every weekends. First we had to get divided into four equal groups. The four groups were created by two men. We had two helpful instructors waiting for us to be quiet so that we could get on with the competitions. I learnt that Squash is a sport like tennis but you have verse against any kind of component hitting the soft ball against the wall. On Friday I had lots of fun playing Squash with my classmates it was like an enjoyable occasion for all adults to play with their family for any kind of event at any time they are available. Holiday Recount
Orientation
In the holidays myself, Aunty Raui and Uncle Ela have a wonderful holiday visiting the mums job. We all have to decide how to get to town first. Uncle told Aunty Raui and I to do the dishes so we can just shoot of to see how mum works. We all found it so interesting going to mum’s job. I felt so excited to see mum and her classmates.
Paragraph 1
Hooray! Its the holidays. In the holidays my family and I went to Britomart to ask my mum for some spending money. My uncle, aunty and I are as excited as celebrating christmas at the movies. It was early in the morning when suddenly mum texted uncle’s mobile. The text said “Morning bro! How are you guys coming to town to get my pocket money, to do the shopping for the house?” Uncle Ela came rushing into the kitchen when I was making us some eggs on toast for breakfast before we leave. He read the text with wonderful expression coming from his mouth. Then uncle asked me, “Can you ask papa for his car instead of using our money to catch the train?” I replied saying, “I don’t know it’s up to you and Aunty Raui!” After a while I told Aunty Raui and Uncle Ela that breakfast is ready so when we finish we only have to do the dishes and then shoot of to town. Aunty Raui said that if I be good today she might shout me some lunch. As we finished eating our breakfast Uncle went to the sink to start stacking the dishes up for me and Aunty Raui can just get on the with the dishes as soon as possible. Afterwards I went ran to the bathroom with aunty and uncle to brush our teeth and get changed separately. When I finished getting changed I realized that I need to do the dishes. I felt as hot as a fireplace heating the house up. As myself and Aunty Raui did the dishes mum texted uncle Ela again. The text said, “Hi again! What time are you guys arriving in town bro?” Uncle replied saying, “We might come at 9am my sis. We’re coming to town in dad’s car!” Then we completed the dishes so after that we can shoot of to town saying, “HALABALOO!” We all felt so happy to go and visit mum
Paragraph 2
As we hopped into the car uncle asked us, “Should put some gas in the car! So that when we give the car back there will be some gas left in the car for him to go to his darts game this afternoon!” We said, “Yeah of course we should because if we use the and there is no gas left in the car he will get all angry at all three of us!” Then we left home with a enormous smile on our face. Few minutes later we arrived in Britomart at the parking section. Because we were going to be there for 2 hours uncle went to the paying machine to pay for parking area. Our car was on floor number two. When I got out of the vehicle I never knew that it would be cold outside. Outside it was as cold as being in Antarctica by the penguins but at the same time I was still excited. I couldn’t wait until we saw mum in her classroom in level six. We all used the elevator to get up to the class. The class was humungous like an elephant in a quiet and calm jungle. Afterwards I said, “Yay we are here now!” Finally I saw mum and her classmates adding make-up on their clients faces.
Paragraph 3
Mum was on break for an hour and a half so we could get something eat and go for a look around in the clothes shops that were nearby her job. First we all went for a walk to Burger King across the road from McDonalds. For lunch mum and I had a combo that had some chips, a big burger and a large cup of Coke. It tasted so delicious like eating a chocolate cake with a mug full of milo. Then we went to get some clothes from Cotton On beneath mums job. I got a pair of blue, red, green and black skinny jeans with some jerseys that go with the jeans. Afterwards mum, aunty, uncle and I went back up to mum’s class.
